I love your blog! My name is Janet and I have an autoimmune ataxia. I fell about a year ago and because of an injury had to start using a walker. Now, I have a service dog that assists me with walking. Thanks for sharing on your blog. I know it's helpful for people out there who don't know about ataxia.
hey chelsea.i know different patterns of things make your vision funny while walking.ii know. how do you do w escalators at the mall? let me share my experience i had............my best friend n i and her daughter are at the mall going to go down the escalator, my bf , her daughtetr r already on n at the bottom..waiting 4 me.im still at the top.....i froze when i went to get on...they had to come back up n we had to find the elevator.people all around me were saying if you cant function in public then stay home.i blurted out"i have a balance issue.....they say well u need to get your walking in check .i said its neurological.then they walked away...geeeesh
Wow. I am ok with escalators... I was shopping with my bf at Robinson mall (I think i read you're from Pitt.). He even said to me, "Let's see how you do on an escalator." I was iffy getting on, it took me a few minutes, but I did it and made it off the bottom before it sucked at my foot. lol. I did trip getting off it though.

My mom has suggested a service dog to me. I think I'd love that!
